That's exactly what happened a few months ago, and we wanted to share the story with you because it perfectly captures what we love about the DTF transfer business.

Let me (Carl) walk you through how we turned one family's vision into 3,000 inches of vibrant, durable DTF transfers that brought their reunion to life.
The Order: A Family Reunion Like No Other
The customer contacted us through our website with a clear vision: they wanted custom t-shirts for their entire extended family gathering. We're talking grandparents, parents, kids, cousins—the whole crew. They needed designs that would work on both light and dark garments, with vibrant colors that would pop in photos and last through countless washes.
This is where DTF really shines. Unlike screen printing, which would have required separate setups for each color and garment type, we could print their full-color designs on our DTF printers and have them ready to press on any shirt color they wanted.
Behind the Scenes: Our Process

Step 1: Design Consultation
The customer sent us their design ideas, and Chelly worked with them to optimize the artwork for DTF printing. We made sure the colors would be vibrant, the details would be sharp, and the sizing would work for everyone from toddlers to adults.
Step 2: Gang Sheet Layout
One of the best things about DTF is the ability to print multiple designs on a single sheet, which we call a gang sheet. We laid out all the different sizes and variations on our 22" wide gang sheets, maximizing efficiency and keeping costs down for the customer.
Step 3: Printing
We loaded up our DTF printers with our premium inks and Instant Peel Film. The printers laid down the color layers first, followed by a white underbase to ensure the colors would pop on any garment color. Watching those designs come to life on the film never gets old.
Step 4: Powder Application & Curing
This is where our DTF Smart Shaker really proves its worth. The printed film moved through the machine, where it was evenly coated with our OEKO-TEX Certified adhesive powder and then cured to perfection. The built-in vacuum system kept our workspace clean, and the automatic safety features gave us peace of mind throughout the entire run.
Step 5: Quality Control
Before shipping, we pressed a few sample transfers to make sure everything was perfect. The colors were vibrant, the adhesion was strong, and the hand feel was soft and flexible—exactly what we promised.
The Results: A Reunion to Remember
The customer was thrilled. They pressed the transfers onto a variety of garments—t-shirts, hoodies, and even tote bags—and sent us photos from the reunion. Seeing an entire family wearing matching shirts, all smiling and celebrating together, reminded us why we do what we do.
But the best part? They told us the shirts held up beautifully through the weekend's activities, including a barbecue, a water balloon fight, and multiple trips through the washing machine. That's the durability of quality DTF transfers.
